"Stearmans"
From a 20" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas
The PT-17 Kaydets had fabric-covered
wooden wings, single-leg landing gear and an over-built welded-steel
fuselage. The Stearman Trainer saved the Stearman Aircraft Company
from bankruptcy during the depression and is responsible for keeping
Boeing, Wichita open until World War II guaranteed its important
place in aircraft manufacturing.
