This watercolor study shows a group of Elco PT 103 class Patrol Torpedo Boats being attacked by Japanese “Rufe” floatplanes (A standard A6M Zero fitted with floats). The painting includes John F. Kennedy’s PT 109. The scene takes place in the Solomon Islands in World War II.
