(Collection Blaise Alexander)
"Cherokee Six"
24"x30" Acrylic on canvas
(Private Commission)
About half the commission work I do is of private aircraft. The least expensive being a pencil sketch from client provided photos to more elaborate acrylic paintings with specific requests. (For some reason I have a bad habit of not photographing them as I will probably not use them commercially or in print.)
If you are interested in commissioning work on any aircraft or any other subject, please feel free to email me with your questions and a quote.

*FUNNY
STORY A lot of private plane commissions are from wives of pilots who want to make it a "surprise" gift. This is the toughest kind of work. One time I was doing a "surprise" painting and the woman gave me permission to go to the airport to yank a nice, twin engine Piper out of the hangar to photograph. The next thing I knew, here comes the whole airport security and the owner of the plane. THEY WERE RUNNING. Funny how pilots don't like that. Anyway, I didn't get shot and the check cleared. Surprise, surprise. |
